Instructions Before Proceeding

Please upload a picture of your dash/MMI system, it ensures we send the right harness and software. Installation is actually pretty easy, but when you first see the wiring harness, you’ll be intimidated. We ran about 4 hours to figure out the first one, and get the unit working, our best techs are down to about two hours to remove a test unit and refit another, harness included. Watch the videos-on this site and also on YouTube. Each Westnav-tech device will arrive ready to be installed for your exact car/model, you should not need to debug or search for your particular SW/AMI or MMI version. Installed an 8.8″ Android Auto touchscreen from Westnav-Tech in my ’16 Q5. Install was pretty simple, if you’re mechanically inclined. Any questions I had were promptly answered by their US based customer service. It included the new bezel, HD backup camera & all necessary wiring. There’s a slight learning curve going from the basic OEM UI to this but overall I’m happy with it. It’s nice to have navigation right on the screen now vs my phone. Sound quality is great too.

I had searched all over, called probably 10-15 A/V shops in my area and found nothing for a head unit that would give me touchscreen and wireless CarPlay in my daughter’s 2019 SQ5. She wanted touchscreen so badly and the wired carplay wasn’t working well because I think the USB port on car is going out. So I made a post in an Audi FB group as a last ditch effort to find something and got a recommendation for this WestNav-Tech unit and I recently had it installed and it’s great! If you’re looking for an aftermarket unit, I can’t recommend it enough and I had a small hiccup with getting a setting just right to make the factory backup camera focus correctly and the owner was up at 11PM or so helping me resolve that. That’s some next level customer service! Posted a few photos, I got the larger 12.3″ version. What a great product and great company!
